The Australian Water Association (AWA) connects people, businesses and governments, creating a sustainable water future. With over 5,000 individual and business members as part of their network the AWA publishes an annual magazine called Current, which showcases news and analysis, case studies, and the latest in scientific research and water policy.

AI-generated image prompting
Gemini
Purpose: For this year’s volume, AWA wanted an image that would encapsulate the theme of ‘investment in water’ towards a sustainable future.
Outcome: Since the theme involved a future environment that is yet to come - an AI-generated image fitted the bill. I trialled various AI engines and found Gemini to be the most intuitive in terms of prompting and refining.
Generating with Gemini: As compared with most other AI image generation tools - image development with Gemini took on a slightly more conversational tone as I am already used to talking with Gemini for everyday queries. This approach felt more '“natural” and therefore I was able to articulate what I wanted more easily with the typical back and forth of prompting.

Monday.com | InDesign & Photoshop
Volume 9: Working closely with AWA’s editor we utilised Monday.com to manage the project and maintain version control. I developed the DPS layouts, created bespoke title pages, image researching/licensing and worked within brand guidelines on a 100+ page document. Packaged and exported print-ready files within the deadline.
